Tomato
Here is my first finished project of 2008. It's Tomato by Wendy Bernard from the No Sheep for You book. Details of project modifications on my Knitters-Delight.
Red Karabella Cabled Yoke Cardigan
This is the beginning of my red Karabella Cabled Yoke Cardigan. I started it on December 31 or January 1. At this point, I've finished the body except for the yoke, and have completed one sleeve as far as the yoke. The yarn is Briar Rose "Charity", the same yarn that Anne used for David's Christmas sweater. The color is a dark cranberry red--about the same as the "Abundance" shown on the Briar Rose web site--and definitely not as orange as it appears in the photo. The pattern is all right for an experienced knitter, but it has some errors. Also, the construction of the sweater makes it a little hard to figure out just how many rows to knit in places.

Red Sweater!
Hi - I'm new to the KAL. I've just started my red sweater, the Cinnabar Pullover by Kate Gilbert in Interweave Knits, Fall 2007. Karabella Margrite is the absolutely yummy yarn that was called for, and I decided to use it. I almost never do that, but this was too nice to pass up. I've actually started 2 red sweaters, but this is the first one that I'll finish. (The other is the popular "Urban Aran" in a superwash merino, claret color.) I will have more progress photos soon - I think this will be a relatively quick knit, but I have to finish DH's Christmas gift first! :)
