Jumping In

In honor of the joyful news that I won Deb's prize (red socks? I sense red socks coming on) , I thought I'd cast on today for my own version of the red sweater.
I scored some Donegal Tweed at Webs in August, knowing it would make a wonderful version of Kate Gilbert's genius Sunrise Circle Jacket. While the yarn is a smaller gauge than the Karabella Soft Tweed called for, I wanted a lighter weight fabric than Kate intended, no offense to the designer. I'm really looking forward to choosing the buttons for this one.

You knit all that today? Wow! And the yarn's gorgeous.

I am thinking of this design for some time later, perhaps in some Noro Silk Garden? Can't wait to see more photos of yours!
